It’s a slavery collar, not a necklace. Part of the problem of slavery is making the collars and chains intentionally uncomfortable. Only isekai protagonists in especially idealistic works care about a slave’s well-being. In the rest, the MC usually has a much darker hidden agenda, and treating a slave kindly is only for the sake of that agenda, not for the slave’s well-being.
